Frank - Red Leghorn Rooster
Frank, together with his brother Charlie, were rescue chicks my husband and I took in a few years ago. They coexisted well together when they were younger but started fighting ferociously later on. I had to separate them. They are now both in their own separate aviaries — still within hearing distance of each other. I haven't let them roam freely as our property is quite open and they could easily fly into the street or the neighbour's yard. I would like to know if they have any particular needs in order to live a happier and more fulfilled life? I have been looking to relocate them to a farm where they can be with hens, but haven’t had any luck yet. I do not wish to breed with chickens myself and therefore cannot take in hens. If anyone has a solution to this, please let me know. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Is there any way in which he would be able to coexist with Charlie again; are there any changes that I need to make in order for them to accept one another?
I also need him to understand the dangers of roaming freely, people might try to steal or kill him, he could be attacked by another animal, he could be hit by a car.
Please could you communicate this to him and find out what he needs in order to live a happy and fulfilled life?
Please could you also tell him that I love him dearly and would like to have only the best for him.
