I am taking an online psychic development course. I like to explore lots of different methods and philosophies, as this shotgun approach opens up new ideas, possibilities, and options in my head. Plus, I get to pick and choose which new bit of information resonates or works for me. Sometimes none of it does, and sometimes much of it does. As part of this course, the instructor had us go through a short quiz designed to help us discover our psychic strengths — the abilities in which we are currently strongest. After answering the short list of questions, my responses pointed to my being strongest in clairvoyance (seeing), with a close runner-up in clairsentience (feeling/sensing), and lastly in claircognience (knowing). A fourth one, clairaudience (hearing), didn't register according to my answers. Now, I could take these results and run with them, hanging my hat on my "strengths" in clairvoyance and clairsentience. But that would be basing who I really am on someone else's definition. I could also take any one of dozens of other psychic quizzes and have difference results. When I instead look at what I feel my strengths are based on all my practice and experience so far, I come up with a different picture. For example, the quiz key listed being able to see images strongly and having very vivid dreams as central to being clairvoyant. Though I scored highest in clairvoyance, I rarely have vivid dreams and strong imagery is not typically what I experience.
For clairsentience, my second highest score, the quiz key listed some big characteristics as being sensitive and empathic and that your body reacts sensitively to external events. Though I am sensitive and very intuitive, I'm not a strong empath in the ways described. The very distant third place on my quiz was claircognience, which was described as intellectual, curious about history and other cultures, learning new things, and creative thinking. I feel I am very strong in this area! Even in my animal communication, I get a lot of "knowings" that just show up as complete packages of information. The final clair, clairaudience, didn't even register in my results. Sensitivity to sound, passion for music, etc. are some of the descriptors. These are things that should have showed up stronger for me based on my preferences and personality. The point of all this is, even if some test or some expert says you are this or that, or you should pursue this career or that one, or that you have no talent at all for something, take it all with a grain of salt. Listen to yourself. Look at your track record. And keep in mind that even if you are at one place today, tomorrow (and every tomorrow thereafter) is a whole new day — one likely to find you much further along in your development. There are lots of these free quizzes out there. All are different. If you want to take one closest to the one I took, try this one out.
