Jane had to move from a large property where she keeps her horses and cats and other animals, to a smaller place where other people are living and have their own animals. She is worried about the few animals she was able to bring with her and how they would integrate. And she was worried about her animals she was still keeping at the old place. Plus, the new place has a lot of "baggage" and other issues, including people who have lived there a long time and were set in their ways. So she wanted me to check in with some of the animals.
Cats – Yes, it’s a bit more chaotic now and more animals to deal with. But it still is like a “sleepover party” where they are all friends and find comfort in being together. Babs (a small, frail cat of hers) – Some fear of the unknown. She is listening to the proposal, but it’s like if you lived all your life on the street and you knew the lay of the land and had your friend support system — changing all that would almost feel like you are a fish out of water. But she will adapt and probably thrive with you. She is worried she will never see her friends again. What about taking her back for a visit sometimes? Lead horse – “She should have checked with me first. She can’t just spring this move on us/me.” With more horses around, he’s having a difficult time keeping the signal intact. Lots of activity all the time. “If we can just get some peace and quiet sometimes.” Quiet grazing time in a field? Talk to him, explain things to him. Make him part of your decision process. The food thing felt a bit of a betrayal and didn’t want what you had to offer. But he was hungry. Feel some anxiety. Reiki, T Touch Ragdoll cat – Talk to her about your reasons, how she has a big heart and this is helping another in need. Doesn’t mean you love her less; just making room for more love. She might love having another friend around who is gentle and kind and considerate. Propose “trying it out” for a while – really be open to it.
