Mac was an older dog who just lost his daughter to cancer. He was having a hard time of it and was ailing, He’s tired.
Seemed surprised that he had the option of consciously leaving this world and it seems appealing to him because he would be with Luna. But he said he can’t leave you now. He’s a little worried that he may react in a harsh way to someone in a moment of senility. He doesn’t think helping him go will be necessary, as it will probably happen naturally. The breathing problem was related to a heavy heart. Some days are easier than others. He talks with Luna all the time and though he misses her, he knows she is happy and doing well, and playing with friends. She is still a presence in your life as a guide. She says she can guide you by asking yourself, “What would Luna do?” and the answer you get is part of her guidance in a particular situation. I feel a wise, loving, vibrant female presence when I think of her. A verse from a gospel song called “Stand By Me” came to me: When the storm of life’s a-raging, stand by me (repeat) When this world tosses me, like a ship out on the sea Oh Lord, heavenly father, stand by me I feel like they are saying that as a family, you are going through this difficult part of life together – and you will get through it together.
