Dear Student, There are many factors involved with developing and deepening animal communication skills. Each one of us has different strengths and imperfections and each one of us will explore and create our own system for effective animal communication. What helps you give the best service? Animal communication is a calling and a service. The animal kingdom and the Spirit of Life, the Universe, supports this work. When you are called to this work you have spiritual guidance and support to lean into. Who is that for you? An animal spirit? An angel? An ancestor? Having someone at your back to lean into and reference enriches the quality of your work. It also helps you stay with the spirit of service and not get in your own way. Another thing that can ground your work is having a clear philosophy and code of ethics around your work with animals. What is the purpose of your work? Where are your boundaries – what will and won’t you do? What are your beliefs and knowings about animals? The nature of humans and the human animal relationship and bond? What is your role in this? When you have this mapped out, it makes your intention clear to the animal kingdom, your guardians, and the Universe. This clarity allows even greater support from your helpers. It is not unusual to get emotionally involved, want an animal to like you, or to project your perspective onto an animal. Having an ethical and philosophical foundation helps. Exploring your weak links around animal communication and having a process to deal with them also helps. Many experience empathy for animals who are suffering. Sometimes this empathy can trigger your own emotions which can compromise the quality of your work. In order to clearly and effectively communicate with an animal, you need to be calm, grounded, present in the moment, and be in a no-thinking or reduced-thinking state. Coming from a place of compassion and non-attachment where you stay separate allows you to truly witness and respect what an animal is experiencing. In my trainings, I teach several practices to help with these very human propensities: projection, personification, attachment, busy mind and such. What are ways that help you with these? When you find yourself wanting to be liked by an animal, explore why this is for you. What I have found is that in some cases, it could be that you don’t have a dog at home with you and you long for that connection. Or it could be that a relationship has ended or you have lost a loved one, so having that connection with animals nurtures your broken heart. Connections with animals do indeed nurture a broken heart. Animals can do this and much more for us, but when we are in service to them is not the time to meet our own needs. Part of being in service to others compels us to have supreme radical self-care. Part of self-care is making sure our needs get met outside of work. When you explore and examine your weak links and create practices to address them, your natural gifts and talents with animal communication blossom. Having a self-care regime that includes these practices to lean into, further strengthens your animal communication. There are many supports for you to lean into in your study and practice of animal communication. Some of these (spiritual guides, philosophy and code of ethics, and a comprehensive self-care regime) can go a long way in bringing your work to the next level. When you are clear about what animal communication is about for you and you have your supports in place, you will find that life responds and brings you experiences that bring out your gift and calling in service to animals, their humans, the earth and the world. Be the blessing that you are. Love and kindness, |

Most children raised around animals experience telepathic communication right from birth. It’s our natural way of communicating, just as it’s the natural way that animals communicate with each other.
How do I know this? I’ve spoken telepathically with babies, so I know that they are telepathic. I also know that I was telepathic as a small child.
But even though you began life as a telepathic being, you most likely experienced some kind of negative feedback from adults or other children when you told them what an animal said to you.
Those negative responses from other people made you afraid of being rejected or being ridiculed. So your fear stopped you from using your natural telepathic abilities. Over time, you forgot all about it.
I was very fortunate as a child. My parents told me, “You’re pretending.” Since it was OK for me to pretend, I kept on having conversations with animals. As a result, I never lost my telepathic ability to speak with them.
When you keep imagining having conversations with animals, the barriers created by fear and your concerns about getting wrong answers will dissolve. Soon you’ll discover that, in truth, you are having telepathic conversations and with some accuracy.
Pretending is fun. It’s playing a game. Pretending is joyful.
Pretending — using your imagination — dissolves the fear of being wrong and the fear of making mistakes. It frees you to access your natural, inborn telepathic abilities.
This is why I believe that telepathy is as natural as breathing.
When we’re afraid, we often stop breathing. So as you practice, if you sense you’re receiving telepathically from an animal, check to make sure you’re still breathing! If you’re holding your breath, take several deep breaths and then go back to the conversation. Shift yourself into playfulness and joy by reminding yourself to let your imagination go and to pretend.
Remember that having fun will help you unlock your innate telepathic abilities.
You’ll quickly find yourself in the natural flow of telepathic conversation and receiving a lot more information than you may have thought possible.

First, don’t let your humanness get in the way. Animals have emotions and feelings, but they think differently than humans do. When you are communicating, never put your thoughts or emotions on them. Just let them tell you what they need to say to you.
Never get upset if they don’t want to talk. Humans are the only animals on Earth that can talk all day and never really say anything important. An animal will talk when they have something to say.
Don’t try too hard. Effort will always cause some form of resistance. Relax and just let the telepathic communication happen naturally.
Probably the most important thing to remember is to live in the present moment. If you are thinking about what you are going to do in five minutes, you are not paying attention to the animal. Animals live in the present moment and they expect you to do the same when you are communicating with them.
Another very important aspect of any communication is that everyone will get their messages differently than anyone else. Some people see pictures very clearly, others hear voices without pictures. Some get both and yet others get only a feeling or knowing. None of these are wrong. Don’t let someone tell you there is one way to get this communication. Work with it and figure out what works best for you.
You are going to misunderstand the animal at times. This is common and a learning process. You are learning a language that is more energy than sound and things can get misinterpreted. If this happens, don’t beat yourself up over it. Just learn from it and move on. No psychic, medium, animal communicator or anyone else for that matter is always right.
Always set your boundaries and ethics high. Never be talked into something that doesn’t feel right. Many people will test you and that’s okay. Remember there is no shame in walking away from any situation.
Telepathy is energy and it will take just a few seconds to get a message out and to the person or animal it’s going to. Never get upset if the animal or person doesn’t respond to you. They may not realize where the message is coming from. Give it a few minutes and then try again. Sometimes who you are trying to talk to just won’t get it and that’s okay. Try it on someone else.
You will learn that animals think differently from humans. They let their DNA run them and they know who they are. They don’t question why they are a cat and not a dog. They don’t worry about the future and only think about the past when a situation reminds them of it.
You will learn that predators and prey animals think differently from each other, but they both believe in and need love. You will learn that sending out love to all animals before you try to communicate with them will help you connect with their body, mind and soul.
You will learn to respect all animals and the way they look at life, death, family, community and why they do the things they do to survive.
You will open yourself up to people who will not believe you or think you have gone off your rocker. You will meet people that will not believe in what you are doing and will make fun of you. That’s okay because you will soon learn that there is nothing better in life that talking to the animals and feeling love from them.
In closing, I wish you all the best as you start into a world that will change your life. It will make you laugh, cry, learn more about yourself and animals and other people.
