Dear Student, I’ve been doing animal communication professionally for over 12 years now. Before I learned how to communicate, I remember crying because I so desperately wanted that special telepathic connection with animals. Not only did I want this for my own animals, I was working as a zoo supervisor at the time and I wanted it for the zoo animals.
When I started to learn to speak to animals, I had no idea how this would evolve for me. I just knew I had to do it. There are things I wished I would have known from the get-go that would have guided me. I’d like to share those things with you, in hopes that they will help you, even if you are not a newbie.

Dear Student, So you say you want to be an animal communicator? Well, on behalf of the animal kingdom, thank you, sincerely.... We need more really, really, really great animal communicators. I decided to ask the animals for their counsel on what I should share with you for this Dear Student letter. Below is is what they shared with me, loosely translated for you.
Dear Student,
It's not your fault! Your brain has a mind of its own and is constantly trying to protect you from the scary stuff in life, like change, pain, and even growth. But there are things you can do to reprogram the brain to work with you and not against you... Dear Student,
We have found that doubting your abilities is the #1 pitfall, regardless if you are new to communicating or have a good amount of experience. Dear Student,
When I teach animal communication, my students and I always get a good laugh at some point because I become such a broken record when it comes to breathing. Dear Student,
I know that being wrong can be a big block to offering your gifts. No matter how skilled and accomplished, we are human. We all fear embarrassment. When you are starting out, this can be a stopper. But I am here to assure you that this fear is healthy, natural, and need not block you from fulfilling your animal communication dreams! Deep listening leads to the penthouse view and those "ah ha" moments in animal communication.1/25/2017
Dear Student,
One thing that really stands out for me over the past two decades of doing this type of work, which quite often is not encouraged or taught: less is more! This is challenging for me to find the words to describe this STATE of BEING, however, here goes! Dear Student,
Please remember not to put your humanness on the animals you are reading. Too many humans try to make up things as they go along. Animals don't know they have bad teeth, but they will tell you their mouth hurts. They don't know they have cancer, but they know something is wrong. They hurt or they may tell you they have a weird odor about them, but they don't know the word "cancer." When they smell cancer in a human, they don't know the word, but they know the smell. Dear Student,
Self-doubt is not something to worry about. Self-doubt is an expression of your sincerity. You do not wish to fool yourself, misrepresent an animal, or fool anyone else. I often tell my clients that self-doubt is something to celebrate. Our willingness to doubt ensures that we ask questions, remain humble, and stay open to new information. Dear Student,
Building your confidence as you receive telepathic messages from animals is one of the biggest challenges you may face as you leave your first workshop behind and venture off to chat with members of the animal kingdom. "What is the best way to build my confidence?" you may ask. |
