Deep Speak helps students, teachers, animals
and their guardians forge deeper connections.
How does it work?
Deep Speak is available to all animal guardians on this site when adding or renewing animals or by enrolling with the form at the bottom of this page.
Teachers and students participating in the Deep Speak program are then able to select animals to work with. You can search for participating animals using the filter at the top of the animal index. Just click Deep Speak and you'll find more than 100 participants! You can also check where the animal is located in the world in the top right corner on the animal's page to make it easier to decide if a live interaction is possible given the time difference.
While each teacher's process is different, a typical experience might be for a group of students to each connect with the animal so they can see similarities in the conversations while the guardian gets to experience a fuller view of the animal's personality and messages. Other teachers might arrange for a series of conversations and guided interactions between the learning communicator and the animal, plus live video calls or sessions with the animal's person to impart messages and receive meaningful feedback. And still others might leave it all up to the students to choose which animals to have a Deep Speak experience with. It might begin with a regular written conversation, but could continue in a live video or audio call.
This gives students more experience nurturing relationships with the animals and going deeper with their communications. And it gives animal guardians access to these deeper conversations, more in-depth answers, and personal interaction with the communicator, very similar to how it might be when working with a professional communicator.

Questions & Answers
Animal Guardians and "Pet Parents"How do i participate?
There is an opt-in box on the form when you add your animal to the site or when you renew your page every six months. If you wish to participate sooner than your renewal date, use the form at the bottom of the page. I will be happy to enroll you! can i opt-out after joining?
Of course! You can try the program and if you decide at any time you no longer wish to participate, just let me know. is there a cost?
Nope. Everything at Speak! Good Human is free. The energy exchange in Deep Speak is that you get more in-depth communication with your animal and the communicator gets more in-depth experience and practice. how does it work?
If you opt-in to the program, your animal's page will reflect this interest with a tag and badge, like this one:
Participating teachers will then know which animals are available and they can then check in with your animal to make sure he or she is also interested in participating before moving ahead. If a teacher or student would like to work with your animal, she will contact me and I will get in touch with you to make sure you're available and still interested. If so, I'll put you directly in touch with the teacher to arrange the details. Participation is usually a commitment to at least two rounds of conversations and feedback with your animal per student to give plenty of opportunity for a deeper connection. A typical experience might go like this: 1. The student communicator has a conversation with your animal. 2. The teacher arranges a convenient time for all three people (you, the student, and the teacher) to have a video call, when you can go through the student's conversation and offer feedback and insights. You'll either receive a transcript or audio file of the original conversation before the call or hear the conversation live for the first time from the student during the call. Either way, the call will simulate a real-world session with a professional communicator, except in this case, it will be with a learning communicator. The experience will mostly be between you and the learner, and the teacher will simply be there off-screen to facilitate and offer guidance if necessary. 3. If you have additional questions you'd like to ask your animal (perhaps relating to an ongoing issue) that are not covered or resolved in the first call, you can arrange for a second session and choose to receive the results and offer feedback by email or through another video call. Another way teachers may participate in Deep Speak is simply by having students all connect with your animal to show how similar the results often are and to provide a fuller view of your animal's personality and character. You will also get a copy of these conversations and have the opportunity to provide feedback. can a learner participate in this program without a teacher involved?
Currently, the program is only available through teachers who wish to provide a more in-depth experience for their students. This ensures that animals are treated respectfully and according to their preferences, their people have a say at every step, and students have the proper guidance to make this process fulfilling and successful. how do i know my animal wants to participate?
Teachers check in with all animals before working with them to ensure they are willing and interested. what are the requirements?
In addition to a willingness to offer timely and thoughtful feedback to learners on their conversations with your animal, you will need a reliable internet connection and the ability to do a video call (like a Skype call). Video calls average 20-45 minutes and the the whole experience may take place over a month's period of time. |
