Red Leghorn Rooster
Frank and his brother Charlie were rescue chicks. They grew up together until they started fighting and we had to separate them. They now each live in their own aviary. Their enclosures are within hearing distance of each other and are large enough for them to fly and roam around in. They take dust baths and scratch for insects in the straw. I have tried to relocate them to farms where they can roam freely and live with hens but had no success. The farms either already have roosters or do not want to take them in because of the noise. Our property is very open and in a suburban area so I cannot let them roam freely. I also do not want to take in hens as I do not wish to breed with chickens. I would like my roosters to lead their best lives and am therefor still searching for the best possibility for them. Any information regarding their current living situation, their needs & wishes or hopes for the future would be very helpful and greatly appreciated.
