MaoFemale catFound her outside of my rented apartment one day with bleeding jaws, brought her to vet and she stayed. She always loved to go out, but one day, she did not come back. Intention:For her to feel like she is loved and cared for and has an unconditional open invitation to come home any time she feels the world is too harsh on her.

SunnyMale native dog of India, approx. 3.5 yearsSunny is an extremely gentle and affectionate boy who lived in a park with his mother and siblings where they suffered repeated injuries. Fortunately, Sunny and his mom recently were accepted to a sanctuary. Though he willingly agreed to the move, Sunny was a bit scared and that has worsened since he arrived and has been trying to escape in panic. It's getting difficult to restrain him. He is also being treated for tick fever and other issues. He has communicated that this new home is overwhelming and too much for him to handle and he wants to return to his previous home in the park, even without his mom. Intention:That he feels safe, loved, supported, and calm, finds a place to live that suits him, and lives there in peace and joy. CastielMale kitten, 2 months in August 2020Castiel just had surgery due to losing his leg and tail in an accident. Intention:Rusty Rusty has a neurological problem and has been falling while running, so he can't be ridden. He has had treatment but he is not responding. Intention:He is healed, totally healthy as before, resumes his training progress, and becomes rideable again. KhargoshMale native dog of India, approx. 3.5 yearsKhargosh is one of the dozen strays we've adopted from a park where it is very dangerous for them to live. He is unfairly labeled aggressive, though he acts only out of fear and provocation. We will bring him and his family (3 others) to our home (400 km away) as soon as circumstances permit. Intention:That Khargosh and his family are healthy, safe, peaceful, and Divinely protected till they move here. TikliFemale native dog of IndiaTikli started life as a stray in a public park, where she suddenly began to be attacked by other dogs (who were earlier friends) and humans alike, so developed fear-based aggression. We adopted her a year ago when moving from Delhi to a village in the Himalayas. She still has trauma (nightmares, incessant barking), has not adjusted fully to my earlier rescues (mother and son), and is sometimes very aggressive with them and even humans. Her earlier manifestations of trauma have suddenly intensified to major neurological issues, with hormonal imbalance akin to Cushing Syndrome. Intention:That she feels safe and at peace, wrapped in unconditional love and support, and lives joyfully and harmoniously with the others. RaniFemale native dog of IndiaRani lives in the parking lot of a commercial complex. She is subjected to ongoing physical danger and harm due to anti-social elements, so she tries to hide away. Though her children are also there, she stays by herself, looks sad and resigned to her fate. She is gentle and affectionate but has no friends. I live 400 km away and have arranged for her food and treatment (which she needs regularly for deep wounds), but feel helpless in not being able to do anything more. There is no option for relocating her. Intention:That she lives out her time on Earth in peace and joy at the sanctuary that has agreed to take her and that all works out well for her and her son.
BellaBella is very hyper and fun to be around but has difficulty calming down sometimes. She needs constant interaction and needs to be glued to me all the time if I am at home. Intention:To be fully relaxed and let me know how I can help her be happier. ChutkiChutki (pronounced Chootki) is a 2-year-old cat who had a traumatic experience during and after her first pregnancy. Because of poor local services, lack of knowledge, and limited transportation and treatment, she gave birth prematurely and her kitten passed away. Chutki was terrified with the whole experience and had a high fever and didn't eat for 10 days. She is now pregnant again — during a time (quarantine) when she again will have little to no professional care. Intention:A smooth pregnancy with a healthy birthing and nursing experience and healthy kittens. MicaMale border collie pit bull mixMica is very affectionate most of the time but cannot be physically restrained in any way. Holding a paw or even holding him to fasten his collar causes him to panic and growl. If he is not immediately released, he escalates the warning into a snarl. Intention:To be able to release his fear and trust me to restrain him for necessary exams and grooming. |
