Will this site help me learn animal communication?
While this site mostly focuses on practice after you've gotten your introduction, you can definitely learn some great tips, techniques, and skills here. Check the Speak! Breakthrough Tips, How-To Articles, Dear Student letters, Ask the Pros, and Student Journals for ways others are learning and succeeding. And be sure to take a look at the Student Recommendations for suggestions on books, videos, audio, forums, and teacher-led workshops.
How can I give back to Speak! Good Human.?
Simply using and enjoying the services on this site is thanks enough! If you are a learning communicator, talk with the animals. If you are a teacher, send your students here for practice or homework and put a link on your own site. If you think your animal would enjoy talking with others and helping them learn this wonderful form of communication, add them to the site. And interact here! Share your own recommendations. Comment on blog posts. Share this site far and wide. I also welcome and appreciate your kind, encouraging, or constructive feedback!
Who runs this site, anyway?
My name is Josh and I'm just a learning animal communicator who wanted to create a comfortable, safe way for others to practice. So I did! You can read a bit more about my animal communication journey here.
Submitting An Animal
Can I add more than one animal?
Yes, add as many as you wish.
Can I remove an animal any time I want?
Yes. If at any time you want to remove your animal or simply take it offline for a while, just let me know.
What if I want to make changes to my listing?
Just get in touch and I will be happy to make any revisions you need. If you have submitted your animal after September 2016, you can also refer back to your original e-mail confirmation. There is a link there that lets you revise your information.
Why is no one talking with my animal?
Who knows why people are drawn to an animal… an intriguing image, an interesting name, a funny expression, a particular energy. Most, if not all, of the animals on this site do get visitors and people talking to them. Sometimes it just takes a little time. Sometimes the communicators decide not to send in their conversations. You can share your animal's page (using the link or share button on the page) in your own online network to increase the exposure and invite more conversations.
What if the conversation I receive doesn't sound accurate?
Sometimes a communicator taps into the wrong animal or energy. Sometimes a communicator gets a lot right, but not everything. Sometimes a communicator is just starting out and is still trying to learn the language. And sometimes there are things an animal's person simply doesn't know about the animal! For example, if a communicator reports that the dog's favorite food is spaghetti and meatballs, even though the animal's person insists the dog has never even had it, the communicator could still have gotten it right. Maybe the dog snagged this delectable dish off the table one time or licked some off the floor, or simply smelled it and thought it was the best thing in the world? There are many, many details, feelings, thoughts, and experiences that a person may not be familiar with about their animal. Sometimes the communicator is able to tap into that!
After considering all of that, and if it really doesn't at all sound like a realistic conversation with your animal, try to focus on anything that does sound accurate or at least possible and let the communicator know. Positive feedback is important when learning.
And be sure to check out the article How To Interpret an Animal Communication Reading for 10 illuminating ways to find the deeper meanings in the conversations you receive.

Why hasn't my animal been added to the site?
Animals don't get added to the site automatically. I usually create your animal's page within a day or two after you submit the form. However, it isn't published until you visit the page using the link I send you and confirm the information using the special form on your page. After you confirm, your page will be published and officially added to the site!
So if you submitted an animal, please look for the email with the confirmation link and follow the easy steps. If you haven't received it after a day or two, please contact me again!

Why didn't I hear back from you after adding an animal?
I respond promptly to every inquiry, so it's possible you typed your email address incorrectly and I have no way to reach you! Please try again or try using a different address! It's also possible I did respond and the reply has gone into your SPAM folder. If you still aren't hearing from me, perhaps there's some other issue at play. You could always try contacting me through the Speak! Facebook page.
Can I add a missing animal?
Tracking lost or missing animals often comes with some urgency. You are welcome to add your missing animal, but please know that sometimes it can take longer than you'd like for someone to try and connect. This is especially true because tracking a missing animal is a specialized skill that not all learners feel comfortable attempting. If you do add your missing animal, please also make sure you are trying other more expedient ways, like posting flyers, checking shelters, and even hiring a professional animal communciator.
I need answers from/about my animal urgently. What do i do?
There's always a chance that a communicator on this site will talk to your animal right away. But if you really need fast answers, either because of the animal's health, impending transition, it's lost or missing, or any other emergency, it's best you not make this site your primary method of getting that information. Hiring a professional animal communicator is your fastest, most reliable way. There are also a couple of other animal communication forums that use different systems for practicing and tend to get to communications faster.
My animal's page disappeared. What happened?
It could be a glitch, so please let me know and I'll fix it. More likely, though, the page was deactivated! Every six months, page owners receive a notice to check their pages for accuracy and then confirm with me that all is up-to-date or let me know if there are changes. If you haven't responded to one of these emails or I can't reach you for some reason, then I deactivate the page. The goal is to ensure that page owners can receive conversations students have had with their animals and students can count on receiving feedback. If the email address listed with the animal is outdated or you are not receiving conversations, this process is designed to resolve that — and I try three times to reach you in these cases. If I still can't reach you or don't hear back, I have no choice other than to deactivate your page. However, if you discover your page has been deactivated and that you would still like it active, just get in touch and I can reinstate it!
What is required of me when i add an animal to the site?
When you add an animal, you benefit from wonderful conversations sent directly to you, plus the good feelings that come with helping others practice and improve their skills. In exchange, you are asked to commit to prompt responses and feedback to conversations you receive as well as to review your page(s) every six months (you will receive email reminders) and confirm whether the information is still accurate or requires updates. Please reply promptly to these email requests! If communicators are not getting feedback from you or I don't hear from you within a reasonable amount of time to confirm your page(s), they will be deactivated. 🙁.
Please keep in mind that communicators spend a lot of time and energy to bring you messages. They are counting on your feedback! I also spend a lot of time and energy creating your page and keeping it updated. It's discouraging when we don't get a response. We're counting on you! 😇
Make sure to head over to this page and read a short guide on how to give great feedback to communicators.

Practicing on this Site
How do I start practicing here?
Depends on your skill and comfort level! Head over to Practice Options, where you have four practice choices. See which feels good to you — or try all of them.
Q&A Style features a list of questions for each animal and a hidden list of answers provided by the animal's person. Work with the questions as long as you wish before revealing the answers to see how accurate you were.
In Freestyle practice, you simply try to connect with the animals and submit your conversation or experience to their people for confirmation. You can ask anything you want, including questions the animal's people want to know.
Go Wild is using your telepathic abilities to connect with the natural world, like rivers, stones, and mountains. They all have a consciousness and the connection process is the same way as with animals.
Quantum Field Connection is a way to use the energetic field that connects everything to support animals in need. There's no experience necessary to be able to do this and you'll find some great tutorials on the page.

What if someone doesn't respond to my conversation?
If, after a reasonable amount of time (allowing for busy schedules and time zone differences), you have not received a response, please try contacting this animal's human again through the form on the animal's page. If still no response, please contact Josh, the site's administrator, using the Contact form. Sometimes responses get filtered as SPAM, so make sure to check there, too!
How long should I wait to hear back?
Most people respond within a couple of days. But please be patient for those across the world, with busy schedules, or who are traveling or on holiday. If, after a week or two, you haven't heard back, please try again. If still no answer, please get in touch using the Contact form. Making sure your experience on this site is a good one is very important to me!
What if I get feedback to a conversation in a different language?
It could happen! People participate on this site from all over the world. Most have a good grasp of English and will use that when communicating. But sometimes a message may be in very broken English or another language. In that case, I recommend pasting the message into Yandex, which will get you pretty close to the correct translation.
Practice Dens
Free for teachers? What's the catch?
No catch. I realize it's difficult for many teachers to not only set-up practice time for their students, but to deal with all the technical issues and logistics. When I saw how successful the Speak! Good Human. format was, I wanted to offer the template to any teacher who would like it. In the end, I just want students to be able to practice and progress. This site is a big step in the right direction! There are no plans to ever make this a paid feature.
Can I make my Practice Den private?
There is no way for me to make this technically possible at the moment. If students other than your own wish to browse or even practice with the animals in your den, they are able to do so in the spirit of learning this site is based on. However, like the rest of the site, your email and other personal details are never published. Plus, your den is tucked away off the beaten path and would take some extra steps for the average person to get to. And, of course, you are certainly welcome to mark your den as private for your students only so that others won't send in conversations and expect feedback.
How technical do I need to be to run a den?
Not very! I actually help you set everything up and keep things updated, so you don't need to know how things work behind the scenes. You tell me how you want to run things or how you need things set up and I do the rest.
How do I make changes to my den?
You just let me know what you'd like to change or update, and I do the rest. If you want to switch out or add animals weekly to correspond with your coursework, no problem!
What if you decide to close the site?
As long as this site is useful to students and teachers, it will be here. When I commit to a project, I'm in it for the long haul! You can feel comfortable investing your time into creating your own Practice Den and knowing you'll be able to make it an integral part of your learning program. And it will always be at no charge.
Privacy & Promotion
What about privacy on this site?
Your privacy is respected 100% here! You can always feel safe to post your animals, submit practice conversations, and interact on the site. Your name (other than the animal's) or viewable contact info is never posted anywhere. All communication between people and students is through private forms and email. Contact info is never added to a mailing list or shared in any way. You will never be asked for any physical address, phone numbers, or anything other than an email address (in case something goes wrong with the file or clarifying information is necessary). You may request to remove or edit your information on this site at any time.
Do you publish my email or contact info anywhere?
No. All your information remains private. If your animal is on this site, communicators are able to contact you directly through the form on your page. Your address is hidden until you respond back to them. At that point, it is a private conversation between you and the communicator.
Do you accept advertising or promotions?
No. The site is free. It's powered by a love for animals, not by advertising or promotion. The goal is to keep it as neutral and student-oriented as possible. All recommendations are from students. All teacher posts are informational. There are no promoted or paid listings. I don't collect or sell lists.
