ThinkFear is probably the biggest block to progressing. There's fear of getting it wrong, fear of embarrassment, fear of putting yourself out there, fear of failing, fear of not succeeding like others are. There's even fear of succeeding! And it can all stop you in your tracks. So here's a baby step to start with: Imagine yourself successful in animal communication. Picture in your head, sometime in the future, when you are able to talk with animals and other conscious beings with ease. Assume that's a vision that will come true. But what about the path to get there? Now imagine your very own road, created just for you. It is built with all your specifications — all the tools, techniques, philosophies, styles, methodologies, directions, and timings that resonate with you and your unique being. It's like having clothing custom-made for you. You know it will fit and will look and feel wonderful. As you move forward in animal communication, you get to pick and choose what you like and what works for you. You are building your own road and it will lead you right to your goal. If one method doesn't feel right, try another. If others have found success doing it this way or that, you may too. If not, that wasn't your path and has nothing to do with your skills or talents. Trying to fit yourself into another's clothing is often what leads to fears of not succeeding. We watch others progressing down their roads and forget that we are on our own. Be open to finding what works for you! You are not a failure when one method doesn't work. You simply haven't yet found what does. Keep going and you will. ExploreAnimal communicator and author Dr. Laurie Moore suggests that not only is this fear normal, but it can help you become a better communicator. Read her loving advice in her Dear Student letter entitled Fear of Getting It Wrong Can Lead You To Become A Better Communicator and see if you can transform that fear into empowerment. InteractChoose an animal from one of the practice galleries or go with Chase below. Just sit with this animal. Gaze at him or her. Imagine what his personality would be like, what he would be like to spend time with it, what he would say to you. If a conversation ignites, go with it. This exercise, however, is more about feeling and sensing another being, noticing details and nuances often overlooked during our busy lives. Be sure to record all your impressions, feelings, and messages in a notebook or journal. Chase would love to help you through any fears you may have around animal communication. Visit his page and sit with him a while. Ask if it's a good time to talk. Introduce yourself. If you don't hear words, pay attention to feelings or energy shifts.
