A Grounding StoryAfter trying half a dozen different meditation tracks and feeling none were quite right, I went back to the Solfeggio 639 Hz: Activate Power Of The Heart. I asked if there was anyone who wanted to speak to me. I first got a snippet of a green rainforest tree lizard who started saying something. I sort of retreated from that one, wondering if I wanted to go down that road today. In the process, I lost the connection. Then I got flashes of other animals, including a wolf. I also got a flash of Sage, a German Shepherd who lived down the street several years ago before he passed on. "Sage, do you want to speak to me?" I wanted to make sure. "Sure," he said. Sage was always a very wise and grounding presence and I felt like that would be the topic he wanted to talk about today. "Hi Sage. You remember me, don't you?" "Of course." "We really miss you. We always felt you were a very special soul." "Thank you. We all are (special souls), aren't we?" he proposed. "Some seem more special," I opined, feeling a little bad about even saying it. "You mean those who resonate with 'who you are in the moment' seem more special?" He was making a point that it's all relative. "I suppose. I guess someone from an uneducated, unrefined background may not appreciate someone with 'proper' manners or a more refined approach to life," I said through example. "Some may and some may not," he pushed further. "Okay," I conceded. "Well, we, from our particular backgrounds, appreciated who you were very much." <bows head slightly> "I wanted to ask about your groundedness," I began. "It's one thing to have it, be it, live it. But groundedness has an effect on others, too. I know you did. How did that work?" Sage explained, "Grounding something is simply settling the energy. Connecting to something stable, constant, and even and matching those waves. An anchor would do that for a boat in choppy waters." "But sometimes the choppy waters are even too much for the anchor and the boat still bobs and jumps," I posed. "True." "But does groundedness mean lack of exciting highs and lows, exuberance, and other things prized in life?" I wondered. "Groundedness provides a foundation for those things. A safe environment to then explore whatever highs and lows you wish. You know you won't float away or lose yourself, so it frees you to explore. Plus, it ensures you are coming from a place of love," said this wise dog. "Love is grounding?" It made sense, but it still surprised me to hear it come into this conversation. "Yes, in its own way. It gives the body and spirit one of its essential needs; makes it feel safe, good, and healthy. From there, it can explore other emotions and states of being." "So the groundedness you brought was based in love?" I asked. "Yes. Love for others' processes. Love for their own paths. Love for the intersection of their paths and mine. Love for the opportunity to help in the way I could." "Then when others felt your grounding energy, they were really feeling your love?" I probed further. "In a way," he said. "It didn't necessarily feel like love to me," I reported from memory. "There are many shades of love. This one was one of them." "So all grounding energy is based in love?" I continued this line of query. "It is all based in a knowingness, a peacefulness, a faithfulness. Aren't those all part of love?" I answered, "Yes, I suppose they are — or can be." "So, what are you doing these days, Sage?" I feel an expansiveness, like he is part of a grandiose plan or program in the universe and is involved in many different facets of life here and elsewhere. "Can you give one example?" I asked as if he had spoken what I just felt. "I provide energies and guidance to dogs and other animals who visit the sick and elderly and others in need — those who are scared and lost and feel out of their minds. This can be difficult for the animal visitors to experience. I help prepare them, guide them, teach them how to stay grounded so they can do the most good during their visits." "You are a guide of sorts?" "Guide. Trainer. Counselor." "How did you get that job?" I asked. "I volunteered. It suits me." "Do you have a message for Kara?" (Sage's person) "My time with Kara was perfect. She provided a wonderful life and exactly what I needed. I was able to do in physicality what I am continuing to do in spirit. I am also continuing to provide the grounding and guidance she and Mena (dog currently with Kara now) need and ask for." "How can others do what you do?" I asked, thinking the world can use more grounding like this. "Come from a place of love. Believe in others even if they aren't quite where they want to be yet or where you think they should be. Withhold judgment. Simply support their paths — they are different than yours. Recognize that. Accept it. Be grace. Be understanding. Be compassion. Be your best and hold a space of hope and support that others will experience their best." At this point I noticed that somehow the zoom feature on my word processing page went from 125% to 143%, so all the words were amplified in a way. Coincidence? There's not even a button to bump it up to that random amount! (The next clickable increment is 150%.) I looked up the angel message for 143 and found: Number 143 is a blend of the vibrations and energies of number 1, the attributes of number 4 and the influences of number 3. Number 1 brings with it the attributes of initiative, instinct and intuition, self-leadership and assertiveness, new beginnings and a fresh approach. Number 4 resonates with patience and practicality, hard work and effort, building solid foundations. Number 3 brings its vibrations of growth and expansion, sensitivity, self-expression, creativity, joy and optimism. Angel Number 143 encourages you to look at your current home and lifestyle and consider ways to uplift your environment in order to usher in more positive energies. This seems to synchronize with what Sage was saying. Does it also confirm that we really had the conversation? I thanked him for his connection, wisdom, love, and guidance. And for his grounding presence in our lives. The energy I got back was one of appreciation and an acknowledgement that it's just what he does. Thank you, Sage!
