Dear Student,Animal Communication is a natural human ability, yet at the same time, a spiritual practice. One of the most-asked questions I receive from people is “Where do I start in communicating with animals?” So let’s begin at the beginning — and the beginning starts from the ground up! GROUNDING is a must and every animal communicator knows to do this simple but necessary and effective procedure prior to any communication. Before we can begin communing and connecting with our animal friends, we must first ensure that we, ourselves, are grounded. If we have a gazillion thoughts running around in our heads or if our emotions are a little out of control or perhaps if we are feeling physically off-kilter, our connection with the animals may be clouded or even blocked. To have a clear channel of communication, it is extremely important that we are first cleared and balanced before we attempt to connect with another. So how do we ground ourselves? There are many ways to ground yourself. For example, through meditation or creative visualisation. The method I find the easiest and most efficient is a simple visualisation technique which I will share with you now. It only takes a few minutes to do but the results are palpable. Find a quiet and comfortable place to sit (preferably a chair rather than the floor), keep your back straight with your feet firmly on the floor and your hands on your knees, palms facing upwards. Take a few good deep breaths — drawing in healing pink light on the in-breath and on the exhale, breathing out all concerns, troubles, issues or worries. Breathe normally. Now… visualise drawing in a beautiful white light from above coming down through the top of your head, streaming down through your body and filling every cell until it flows out through your feet; down, down, down into the centre of the earth where the light then forms into the shape of giant tree roots that wrap themselves around a giant crystal, lodging firmly into the earth’s core. You are now grounded — connected to both the sky above and the earth below and ready to take Step 2: clearing your energy field. But that’s for another time! The animals will be there, ready and waiting to share with you! Dear Student,It’s not uncommon to feel that you are not getting any information, which can make you feel anxious and cause a block. One of the ways that I have learned to overcome this is to pick another tool from my belt. Different animals, like people, have different personalities. The way in which you communicate with one animal, doesn’t necessarily mean that another will respond to the same technique. We all communicate differently and we all have our own styles. However, we also have a few different techniques that we can change to, if the need arises. I have spoken to some animals and then the next day, another would only impress emotions on me. Just because it’s different, doesn’t mean that it’s wrong. I like to imagine that we all have a "communicator’s tool belt” and when one way isn’t working, you put that tool down and use another. As an example, if you have an animal’s spirit in front of you but you just aren’t getting the information, try writing down the person’s questions and requests on a piece of paper. Often you will find that the answers will come to you as you are writing. If that doesn’t work for you for a particular animal, let them know that you need them to show you in images what they mean and so on. Do whatever works for you. There is no right or wrong way. In your tool belt, you might meditate prior to a communication session. On the other hand, you may not meditate prior to a communication. Personally, I am not a fan of meditating. Shocking, right?! But the traditional mediation style is just not for me. I do, however, clear my energy daily, but I would personally prefer to do a form of active mediation like jogging or being in nature, but certainly not the traditional meditation style. And that’s okay! Because that’s my style, and you may have a style that is completely different and that’s what you have in your tool belt. Also, try different techniques and see which ones work for you, and which ones will fit into your tool belt. I tried a new technique the other day, and completely froze and got absolutely nothing! You know what? That’s okay! Because now I know that particular technique doesn’t work for me. We all have different tool belts, but we are also in the same choir. Some of us hit different notes, but we are all working towards the same goal: Being a voice for the animals. I personally feel that the people who are drawn to you to be their communicator, are the right people to work with. Trust in your process and the people who are drawn to work with you. Always remember, the information that you bring through is invaluable to an animal's person. Trust yourself and in your ability Love,
Dear Student,Thank you for taking steps to communicate and build the bonds between animals and humans. Over the years, I have had to remind myself that what comes through in a communication is from the animal’s perspective. When you do more and more communications, you may come across some people, with good intentions, who feel you haven’t quite picked up on their animal's situation correctly. Let me give you an example using my dog. I have an American Staffy that we rescued some years ago. When he first arrived, he decided that his job was security. He felt like he was doing an amazing job and if anything came near the house or the fence or anywhere near us, he would spring into action and he felt that he needed praise for all of his hard work. From our perspective, he was NOT security, he was becoming more trouble than we anticipated and quite frankly, we found him being a bully to our other dogs. Not only did he need good, positive, consistent training, we needed to communicate with him and negotiate the terms of his job. While he felt that he should be somewhat like a policeman with a gun, we felt that he should be more security guard at a gathering, with no guns, so to speak. In this situation, human and animal had very different perspectives on the same situation. As the animal communicator, it’s our role to explain both sides of a situation to the other party. I have found that sometimes just by making the animal feel ‘heard’, they will change their behaviour. Another example of perspectiveI could say to someone ‘that person is quite tall’ because to me, they are. However, to someone taller than I am, the person could just be normal height. These are a few examples how perspective on a situation can be completely different. Neither perspective is wrong. I want to encourage you that what you get, you get from the animal, from their perspective. It doesn’t mean that what you get is wrong, it’s just from a different perspective. I always tell clients that what I receive is ‘the animal’s message’ and it’s the way that they see the situation. As you do more communications, you will become more comfortable in knowing that even if a client might not understand the message you bring across at first, once you explain that it’s from the animal’s perspective, they will appreciate the information which will ultimately bring the human and animal into a more bonded relationship. The information that you bring through is invaluable to an animal's person. Trust yourself and in your ability. More information about Nicole at www.connecttoanimals.com Dear Student,There are so many wonderful things you will learn on this exciting journey. The first thing I tell my students is that you don’t have to be a “natural psychic” to communicate with animals! Many have the perception that only those who can see and hear the voices of animals and passed over people are able to do this. That’s just not true! While those who are naturally gifted will find it easier, there is no reason why everyone else cannot learn this as well. We are all born with psychic abilities. The primary reason we lose them in childhood is because most of us just don’t have the encouragement to develop these talents. If a child said they saw or heard something that was not physically there, adults would usually tell them they are imagining things. Adults don’t realize that they are shutting down the child’s abilities by creating mental blocks. When that child grows up, those blocks solidify and thereby hinder telepathic communication with animals or other people. But is there a way to revive these natural abilities? When it comes to teaching telepathy, animals can be our greatest teachers. Many people find that once they start paying attention to animals, communication becomes easier and easier. One of the best ways to connect is to be outside in nature, walk around barefoot, or even sit in the grass. Doing this attunes a person to the Earth’s natural frequencies. Next, start paying attention to all your senses. Even the faintest sensation could be an animal trying to connect with you! Don’t doubt the information you are sensing. Once you start to second guess it, your mental blocks will appear again. It will take time, but you will get better! Keep in mind that every person gets information in different ways and no two people will give the same reading. Comparing your abilities to another will only cause doubt and blocks. If you are not naturally gifted with your psychic abilities, always know that you can be just as successful as anyone else. It may require more time and effort than others but eventually, you will get there! So enjoy the journey and learn as much as you can! Love, Having grown up with cats, dogs, and horses, Courtney Moffatt always had a passion for animals and since adolescence, has ridden horses competitively and for pleasure. Though she's always known about the ability to talk with animals, her first reading with a professional communicator inspired her to pursue animal communication! After completing several courses with master communicators Cindy Smith and Jeannie Helton-Vos, along with taking many psychic development classes in Pittsburgh, PA., animal communication has become Courtney’s true calling. She loves helping people understand their animals and giving their animals a voice! Find out more at https://courtneymoffatt.com Dear Student,We were all born with the gift of intuition, telepathy, and communicating with all species. But we’ve also been told that we can’t do it, that it's not possible. I'm here, along with quite a few of my own animals, to tell you, you can! Here's what we want you to know: First, push those negative thoughts aside, because I know in your heart that you can do this and you already are doing it. Call on the animals to help you. Go to a quiet place in your mind, wherever you can be. If you have to, close your eyes and simply imagine what the animals might be saying to you, what they could be thinking, and how they could be feeling. Be in nature as much as you can, hug trees and feel their vibration, walk in the woods, even in winter. If you can be around water, awesome! Water is a fantastic conduit for receiving messages and communicating with animals and other species! When your mind starts to think a logical explanation, that’s when you start pushing the logic back and allowing in what the animals are trying to communicate to you. Don’t let doubt and fear stop you from doing what you were born to do! Announcing the Newest Communicator: You!Once the animals know you want to communicate with them, they’ll pass it all over the the animal kingdom that you’re an open channel and you listen to them. The animal kingdom communicates with each other all the time, so word will soon get around that you’re someone that they can talk with. It’s a “word of mouth" networking system. In addition to asking the animals questions, you can look at their body language to see what they’re trying to tell you. You may be surprised at the answers you will get. Don’t doubt yourself! I’ve always found it most beneficial if I have a quiet spot, where there’s no loud music or people talking. I just go into the moment and take slow, deep breaths, and focus on what I am picking up from the animal kingdom. It makes it much easier when you don’t have a lot of chaos around you. Sabre's Words of Inspiration“To all my friends who have been told, you’ll never reach your goal, you’ll never achieve what you want in life, you can’t listen to animals, you don’t have the gift, you can't communicate with animals, you can’t receive thoughts from animals — never give up on your dream," says Sabre the parrot. "Don’t let anyone bully, control, and manipulate your life to their liking. “You are unique and wonderful the way you are! Don’t let anyone rain on your parade and keep you down. If you have a dream, no matter what it is, go for it, shoot for the moon. If you miss, at least you’ll end up among the stars." (big beak smile!) “Your animal friends will teach you so much. Thank them all for having the chance to be working with them. Be honoured to be their voice and let them communicate their thoughts through you!” Kim Malonie is a published author and internationally acclaimed animal whisperer/animal communicator who has spent more than 40 years consulting with thousands of domesticated and wild animals worldwide, including tigers, elephants, whales, farm animals, exotics, birds, horses, reptiles, cats, dogs and more to help them resolve their physical, behavioural, and emotional issues. Learn more at www.TheSecretWisdomOfAnimals.com Dear Student, There are many factors involved with developing and deepening animal communication skills. Each one of us has different strengths and imperfections and each one of us will explore and create our own system for effective animal communication. What helps you give the best service? Animal communication is a calling and a service. The animal kingdom and the Spirit of Life, the Universe, supports this work. When you are called to this work you have spiritual guidance and support to lean into. Who is that for you? An animal spirit? An angel? An ancestor? Having someone at your back to lean into and reference enriches the quality of your work. It also helps you stay with the spirit of service and not get in your own way. Another thing that can ground your work is having a clear philosophy and code of ethics around your work with animals. What is the purpose of your work? Where are your boundaries – what will and won’t you do? What are your beliefs and knowings about animals? The nature of humans and the human animal relationship and bond? What is your role in this? When you have this mapped out, it makes your intention clear to the animal kingdom, your guardians, and the Universe. This clarity allows even greater support from your helpers. It is not unusual to get emotionally involved, want an animal to like you, or to project your perspective onto an animal. Having an ethical and philosophical foundation helps. Exploring your weak links around animal communication and having a process to deal with them also helps. Many experience empathy for animals who are suffering. Sometimes this empathy can trigger your own emotions which can compromise the quality of your work. In order to clearly and effectively communicate with an animal, you need to be calm, grounded, present in the moment, and be in a no-thinking or reduced-thinking state. Coming from a place of compassion and non-attachment where you stay separate allows you to truly witness and respect what an animal is experiencing. In my trainings, I teach several practices to help with these very human propensities: projection, personification, attachment, busy mind and such. What are ways that help you with these? When you find yourself wanting to be liked by an animal, explore why this is for you. What I have found is that in some cases, it could be that you don’t have a dog at home with you and you long for that connection. Or it could be that a relationship has ended or you have lost a loved one, so having that connection with animals nurtures your broken heart. Connections with animals do indeed nurture a broken heart. Animals can do this and much more for us, but when we are in service to them is not the time to meet our own needs. Part of being in service to others compels us to have supreme radical self-care. Part of self-care is making sure our needs get met outside of work. When you explore and examine your weak links and create practices to address them, your natural gifts and talents with animal communication blossom. Having a self-care regime that includes these practices to lean into, further strengthens your animal communication. There are many supports for you to lean into in your study and practice of animal communication. Some of these (spiritual guides, philosophy and code of ethics, and a comprehensive self-care regime) can go a long way in bringing your work to the next level. When you are clear about what animal communication is about for you and you have your supports in place, you will find that life responds and brings you experiences that bring out your gift and calling in service to animals, their humans, the earth and the world. Be the blessing that you are. Love and kindness, |

Most children raised around animals experience telepathic communication right from birth. It’s our natural way of communicating, just as it’s the natural way that animals communicate with each other.
How do I know this? I’ve spoken telepathically with babies, so I know that they are telepathic. I also know that I was telepathic as a small child.
But even though you began life as a telepathic being, you most likely experienced some kind of negative feedback from adults or other children when you told them what an animal said to you.
Those negative responses from other people made you afraid of being rejected or being ridiculed. So your fear stopped you from using your natural telepathic abilities. Over time, you forgot all about it.
I was very fortunate as a child. My parents told me, “You’re pretending.” Since it was OK for me to pretend, I kept on having conversations with animals. As a result, I never lost my telepathic ability to speak with them.
When you keep imagining having conversations with animals, the barriers created by fear and your concerns about getting wrong answers will dissolve. Soon you’ll discover that, in truth, you are having telepathic conversations and with some accuracy.
Pretending is fun. It’s playing a game. Pretending is joyful.
Pretending — using your imagination — dissolves the fear of being wrong and the fear of making mistakes. It frees you to access your natural, inborn telepathic abilities.
This is why I believe that telepathy is as natural as breathing.
When we’re afraid, we often stop breathing. So as you practice, if you sense you’re receiving telepathically from an animal, check to make sure you’re still breathing! If you’re holding your breath, take several deep breaths and then go back to the conversation. Shift yourself into playfulness and joy by reminding yourself to let your imagination go and to pretend.
Remember that having fun will help you unlock your innate telepathic abilities.
You’ll quickly find yourself in the natural flow of telepathic conversation and receiving a lot more information than you may have thought possible.

When I started to learn to speak to animals, I had no idea how this would evolve for me. I just knew I had to do it. There are things I wished I would have known from the get-go that would have guided me. I’d like to share those things with you, in hopes that they will help you, even if you are not a newbie.
So you say you want to be an animal communicator? Well, on behalf of the animal kingdom, thank you, sincerely.... We need more really, really, really great animal communicators.
I decided to ask the animals for their counsel on what I should share with you for this Dear Student letter. Below is is what they shared with me, loosely translated for you.
It's not your fault! Your brain has a mind of its own and is constantly trying to protect you from the scary stuff in life, like change, pain, and even growth. But there are things you can do to reprogram the brain to work with you and not against you...
